900,000 jobs, amazing internet speed and many others about to begin on April 23

ISLAMABAD – Despite all the impediments and shortfalls, Pakistan government is all set to auction 3G and 4G spectrum licences on Wednesday.

According to Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, the regulatory authority of the country, it will go for the auction as per plan.

Four Pakistan based companies have applied for the licences auction, which will be held in two phases.

Pakistan is the only country in the region, which is still without 3g and 4G technology, even war-ravaged country Afghanistan has been using this technology.

“Availability of high speed mobile broadband services in both urban and rural areas would encourage a more connected community and promote E-commerce activities,” Dr. Tariq Ismail said.

The auctioning is likely to generate 900,000 jobs besides so many other advantages for the country.
